The dead body of J. Tantow, a hermit who has lived in a hut seven miles north of Manly for the past twelve years, paying no attention to the outside world whatever, was found by parties who had paid a chance visit to the home, Tantow had been dead several days, it is thought. He had several sons living in the country but never visited them nor allowed them to visit him. He was about 90 years of age.
