CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Beverly N. Oltman, 90, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Western Home Communities Windhaven.

She was born November 7, 1926 in Manly, Iowa, daughter of Rush and Emma (Holden) Culver. She married Max Oltman on March 26, 1948 in Manly, Iowa. He died on July 27, 2003.

She attended Grinnell College and earned her BA degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa. She was employed as Secretary of the Art Department at UNI for 20 years, prior to retiring.

She is survived by three sons: Rick Oltman of Waterloo, Alan Oltman (Selannie Tyc) of Maple Plain, Minnesota, and Chris Oltman of Lawrence, Kansas; a daughter, Marcie Oltman of Mahtomedi, Minnesota; and a sister, Dorothy Stanley of Littleton, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Culver, and a son-in-law, Mark Hoffman.

Services: Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The casket will be closed.
