Those wishing to give a memorial in her memory, may wish to consider memorial contributions to Elk Creek Lutheran Church.Constance LaVergne (Langeland) Berge, was born 90 years ago in the land of Lincoln, Chicago, Illinois on December 29, 1925. She attended schools in the city of fantastic museums (Chicago). When she graduated high school, she traded it all in for the wide open spaces of Iowa where she had spent most of her summer vacations.
She was united in marriage to Milton J. Berge of Kensett and to this marriage they had three children; Janie, John, and James.
Throughout her life, Connie did many different things that she loved and enjoyed, fishing, writing and photography and always had a camera nearby. Her favorite subjects were her children, grandchildren and great-grandkids and the dog. Many times Milt would dress for the occasion and make shocks in the oat field to portray scenes of yesteryear. Antiquity was her choice and skyscrapers of Iowa, wooden churches with steeples, barns with silos, thrashing machines and the old-old windmills more than made her day.
She also enjoyed doing volunteer work for Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa Heart Center. Connie worked for Walker Deluxe as a secretary in Lake Mills for 20 years.
Connie felt she had grown up in the best of all eras with in-laws that were perfect.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Janie (Ronald) Terzino of Arcadia, California, John (Sharlene) Berge of Dundas, Minnesota, and James Berge of Kensett; her grandchildren, Steve Terzino, and John (Debbie) Terzino both of California, Michelle (Jeremy) Wedel and Tammy Berge all of Minnesota, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Amanda Terzino of California, and Meagan and Caitlin Wedel of Minnesota; as well as other extended family members and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband Milton.
