MANLY, IOWA - Nena Sue Fricke, 30, Manly, formerly of Northwood, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
A funeral service for Nena will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2015, at Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S., Northwood, with the Rev. Tom Martin from Bethany and Elk Creek Lutheran Church in Kensett officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Monday at the chapel.
Nena Sue Fricke was born January 29, 1985, in Mason City, the daughter of Michael and Kelly (Bottleman) Fricke. She attended Northwood-Kensett Community School, graduating from Northwood-Kensett High School in the class of 2003. Following her schooling, she began working at Carroll George, Wood Harbor, both in Northwood, and at the time of her death was working for Rembrandt Foods in Thompson for seven years.
She was united in marriage to Carrie Wendel on November 4, 2014, in Manly.
Nena enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, sport shooting, bonfires, and helping her grandpa Duwayne cleaning his tractors, but her great love and enjoyment was spending time with her son, Mychal, and being around family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory is her spouse, Carrie Fricke of Manly; her son, Mychal Fricke of Manly; her mother, Kelly Blake of Northwood; her father, Michael Fricke of Nora Springs; brother, Dustin Fricke and fiancé Jaime of Northwood; grandfather, Duwayne Bottleman and fiancé Gail Kuhlman of Northwood; and grandparents, Bob and Shirlene Fricke of Mason City; her mother-in-law, Rhonda Wendel of Hemet, California; as well as other extended family members and friends.
Nena was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cheryl Bottleman.
