NORTHWOOD, IOWA - Lloyd John Dralla, Jr., 61, died Monday, November 2, 2015, at his home in Northwood.

A funeral service for Lloyd will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S., Northwood, with Pastor John Scherb officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the chapel.

Lloyd John Dralla, Jr., was born on July 18, 1954, in Mason City, the son of Lloyd John Dralla, Sr., and Virginia Mae (Briggs) Dralla. Lloyd attended Northwood-Kensett Community Schools, graduating from Northwood-Kensett High School. Lloyd farmed most of his life in the Northwood and Lake Mills area. Lloyd also drove truck for Wesselmann’s, was a mechanic in Lake Mills, and until the time of his death worked for Paul Hogan Lawn Service in Northwood.

Lloyd loved to travel, spending time playing cards and other games with his nieces, nephews, and grandson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mariah (Chris) Ballantyne of Northwood; his grandson, Wesley Ballantyne of Northwood; brothers and sisters, Janice (Robert) Hall of Mason City, Corie (Richard) Rieman of Mason City, Christina (Howard) Shepherd of Leland, Curtis (Terri) Dralla of Rogers, NE, Carl Dralla of Northwood, and Ginger (Travis) Holtz of Polk City; brother-in-law, Danny Buckman and his special friend, Carol Olson of Forest City; several nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces and nephews; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd John Dralla, Sr., and Virginia Mae Dralla; sisters, Marian and her husband Perry Montgomery and Connie Buckman; nephew, Jacob Dralla; and special friend, Vicky Robinson.
