LEWIS MELLEM SUCCUMBS AFTER SHOVELING SNOW

Northwood – Lewis G Mellem, 77, died Wednesday in the yard of his farm home after shoveling snow.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Haaland will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery with Bakke Funeral Home in charge.

Born February 22, 1885, near Joice, he was the son of Gulbrand and Margretha Mellem. He was married to Regina Julset who died six years ago. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Surviving are five sisters and two brothers.
