Theresa Suby (Pounder) 1984-2014

FERTILE, IOWA - Theresa Louise Suby, 29, of Fertile, formerly of Forest City, died Monday, April 21, 2014.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Fertile Church of Christ, 3493 Eagle Ave., Fertile, Iowa, with Pastor Robert Perry officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 North Clark St., Forest City. Inurnment of her cremains will be held at a later date.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Theresa L. Suby Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Theresa was born August 4, 1984, in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Dottie (Hanson) Suby. She attended Forest City Schools and graduated in 2002. She was married to Josh Pounder, they later divorced.

She lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for many years and loved living there, and always wanted to return someday. She was currently employed at the Subway Restaurant in Forest City.

Theresa enjoyed sewing, camping, watching movies, coloring and enjoyed animals and her pets, especially her dog, Pixie. Theresa had a big kind heart, loved people and was very personable, she was a wonderful loving sister and a wonderful aunt to her two nephews and niece. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Dottie Suby of Forest City; siblings, Jessica (Chris) Oberg of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Adam Suby (Elyse Ferrel) of Colorado, Springs, Colorado, and Tonya Suby of Colorado Springs, Colorado; niece and nephews, Avianah and Carver Oberg and Elijah Suby; grandparents, Theresa C. Suby of Forest City and Henry and Ruby Hanson of Forest City and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend, Carlitos Figueroa.

She was preceded in death by her Grandpa, Duard Suby.
