Emil Buechele, 85, of Grafton, died Monday, May 6, 1985, at the Osage hospital.

Funeral services were held Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton; the Rev. James Fladland officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.

Mr. Buechele was born July 16, 1899, in Grafton to Edward and Anna (Wahl) Buechele. He attended Grafton schools and in 1923, he married Arminda Rappath in Minneapolis, MN, where they lived for three years.

In 1926, they moved back to Grafton where he was employed by the Grafton Co-op Elevator. He retired in 1972.

Survivors include his wife, Arminda, of Grafton; a daughter, Jane Buechele, Minneapolis, MN; and a brother Roy, of Grafton. He is also survived by Bernice Maker, Moscow, ID, whom the couple raised in their home.
