Irving Huebner, 94, of Grafton, died Friday, April 25, 1997, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gregory Bjornstad officiating. The body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Rock Township. Champion Funeral Home in Osage is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Irving H. Huebner Memorial Fund.

Irving was born September 25, 1902, at Grafton, the son of Herman and Anna (Heimke) Huebner. He was baptized on October 10, 1902, and confirmed in April 1917, by the Rev.John Landdeck. He attended rural schools and Grafton High School. Irving married Lilly Tabbert on January 17, 1926, in St. Ansgar. They farmed in the Grafton area. Irving enjoyed playing the piano along with other instruments and listening to music on tapes and radio. He spent much of his early years playing in an orchestra, selling instruments, and playing for silent movies in Mason City and Manly. Music was an important part of Irving's life. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing in his younger years.

Survivors include one son, Kermit (Elaine) Huebner of Grafton; one daughter, Darlene Greenway, Palm Springs, FL; one sister, Alpha Walk, Albert Lea, MN; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lilly, in 1992, and brothers, William Huebner and Herbert Huebner.
