Funeral services for Clyde Allen Glassel, 64, who died at his home on January 22, 2000 in rural Grafton, were held Wednesday, January 26 at Emmanuel Lutheran CHurch, Grafton, with Rev. Wayne Ellingson and Father Peter Bodensteiner officiating.

Clyde was born on March 25, 1935 in rural Plymouth. He moved to Grafton in December 1944 continuing his schooling there. He graduated from high school in 1955 and from Wartburg College in 1959 with a BA degree in economics. He was a full time farmer in the Grafton/Plymouth area.

On January 22, 1961 he married Lenore Ellen Amelung.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Lenore of Grafton; his daughter, Ruth Cole and husband Don of Lake Mills; his son, Fred and wife, Tina of Plymouth; daughter, Kate Oelberg and husband Dan of Maple Grove, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Ray and Justin Cole and Heather, Justin and Bobbi Jo Brady; two aunts, Dorothy and Orpha Trettin; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.
