Funeral services for Alma May, 102, who died April 1, 1998, at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Saturday, April 4 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Rose Marie Lewis officiating.
Alma Helena May was born September 28, 1895 in Grafton, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Lutz) Bruesewitz. She was baptized in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton December 1, 1895 by Rev. John Landdeck. She was confirmed March 20, 1920 by Rev. John Landdeck. She attended the Grafton schools.
Alma married Herman May February 14, 1915 with Rev. John Landdeck officiating at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. One son, Victor was born to them and he passed away at the age of one year and eight months. Herman died January 30, 1982. She was a homemaker and lived in the Grafton vicinity all of her life. She retired in 1958. She lived in Grafton until moving to the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center in 1993.
Alma is survived by :local family members; Ellis "Bud" Schaub and wife Edna of Kensett; Gene and Connie Bruesewitz of Grafton, Earl and Dora Bruesewitz of Osage; Jerry and Melba Kuper of Osage; Don and Rose Bruesewitz of Osage; and Iva Bruesewitz, St. Ansgar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman, infant son Victor; two brothers, Alfred and William Bruesewitz; one sister, Gertrude Schaub.
Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.
