JULIA A. HERMANSON

June 6, 1893 – November 6, 1961

KENSETT, IA – Mrs. Nels Hermanson, 68, died Monday at a Mason City hospital. She had been in failing health the last five years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 PM at the Bride Funeral Home, Manly, and at 2 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett. The Rev. Hensell Henderickson will officiate. Burial will be in the Kensett Cemetery.

Born Julie Hovind, June 6, 1893, near Osage, she was the daughter of Peder and Marie (Rye) Hovind. The family moved to Kensett in 1910. August 12, 1917, she was married at Northwood. Mr. and Mrs. Hermanson had lived in the vicinity of Kensett since their marriage.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Perley, Colton, CA; Curtis, South St. Paul, MN; Jerome, Mason City; five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ella Paddock, Los Angeles, CA; a brother, Henry Hovind, Galena, IL.
