James (Jim) A. Weeks of Sioux City, Iowa (Alamo,Texas the last 27 years after retirement) passed away on September 10, 2024. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. This will take place at Stone State Park Lodge, 5001 Talbot Rd. in Sioux City, Iowa. A lunch will follow the service.

Jim was born on January 16, 1938 in North Platte, Nebraska to Arthur and Anna Weeks. He attended The University of Nebraska and was a member of the Acacia Fraternity. He was a claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance, then Great West Casualty Insurance for his professional career.

On June 4, 1960 he married the love of his life, Wilma Alberta Christensen. They raised two sons in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a Mason, member of the Shriners and Eastern Star. He was involved in his church, working with the youth, and was church president. He had a love of the outdoors and spent much of his life camping, boating, and traveling.

Jim and Wilma retired to travel the United States and all over the world. He was International Director for the Newmar Corporation. They traveled full-time in their motorhome for many years, spending winters in Southern Texas and summers in the Black Hills, South Dakota.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma, sons Kevin (Sarah) from Cylinder, Iowa; Doug (Kris) from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; grandchildren Adam Weeks, Jacob Weeks, Emily (Austin) Cleveringa, and Riley (Mindy) Weeks.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
