June M. Vopat, 72, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at a Sioux City nursing home following a lengthy illness. Private services will be held. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at NelsonBerger Northside Chapel.

Mrs. Vopat was born June 13, 1927, in Bordulac, N.D., the daughter of John and Margaret (Rensch) Wolf. She attended Bordulac schools and moved to Sioux City in 1951.

She married Alvin Vopat on Nov. 10, 1954, in Sioux City. She worked for Wincharger and Zenith Co. for several years and then with Swift and Co. for 10 years.

She retired in 1982. She attended St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Roger of San Diego; four daughters, Jacqueline and her husband, Charles Stell and Hazel Jackson, all of Houston, Donna and her husband, Paul Roberts of Channe View, Texas, and Linda and her husband, Steven Arend of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchidlren; and four greatgrandchildren.
