Marian F. Corliss, 75, of Sioux City died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at ChristySmith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Alex T Washington officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Corliss was born July 5, 1924, in Sioux City the daughter of Hiram Justin and Blanche Irene (Love) Thompson. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School.

During World War II, she worked for the Army Records Department in Washington D.C. She married William Freeman in Washington. Following a divorce, she returned to Sioux City. She married Robert Corliss. They divorced in 1962.

She worked for Mary Elizabeth Day Care as a teacher's aide for 18 years, retiring in 1986.

She belonged to the Methodist faith and enjoyed reading and watching soap operas.

Survivors include. three sons, Donald Corliss Michael Corliss, both of Sioux City and William Freeman Jr. and his wife, Linda of Jefferson, S.D.; four grandchildren, Kathy and Sam Corliss and B.J. and Elizabeth Freeman; and a greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers.
