DEATH OF WILLIAM WEBER

Wm. Weber, an old time resident of the country north west of Mapleton, died in his home on Wednesday, July 3, at 7:00 p. m. from what is said to have been called starvation by the doctors and claimed to have resulted from a disease of the digestive organs, which failed to perform their function, thus making it impossible for him to take food into his stomach.

Deceased was born at Wittenburg, Germany, April 11, 1861, and came to the United States in 1882. He remained one year in New York state, when he came west and settled on a farm in Woodbury County, where he has since made his home.

On January 7, 1888, he was married to Miss Mary Maas at Danbury and to this union ten children were born, all of whom were at the bedside at the time death came, with the exception of one daughter residing in Colorado, who owing to bad train service failed to arrive until after the funeral. The children are Wm. Weber, Sioux City: Mrs.John koil, Mapleton; Mrs. Frances Schommer, Crested Butte, Colo.; John Weber, Danbury; Louis, Sioux City , Rose, Frank, Lawrence, August and Anna, residing at home.

Mr. Weber suffered a paralytic stroke about two years ago, which is thought to have caused the derangement of his system to the extent of causing his death.

Funeral services were conducted from St. Mary's church on Saturday at 9:30 a. m. at a solemn requiem high muss by Rev. Father Schleir, assisted
by Father Meagher of Danbury, Father Costello of Ida Grove and Father Coughlan of Onawa. Burial took place in St. Mary's cemetery at Danbury.
