Funeral services for John Webb, 48, of Danbury, la., were held Wednesday morning, April 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Danbury. Mr. Webb died Monday, April 10, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief-illness.

Father Ralph Lammer was celebrant of the mass, with Msgr. G. J. Schuster of Ulysses and Edward Hoffman, concelebrants. Burial was in the church cemetety.

Mr. Webb, the son of Lyna and Vashti Webb, was born Nov. 22, 1923, at Erickson. As a boy he moved with his parents to Bloomfield and graduated from the Bloomfield High School. He studied for two years at Conception Seminary (Mo.) and later worked as a bookkeper for the Chicago Lumber Co. At one time he was employed at the ASC office at Center and later at the Farmers Elevator at Ulysses, living there with his family for seven years.

He married the former Betty Lammers Sept. 7, 1955, at Fordyce. He owned and operated Webb's Standard Service Station at Danbury where he made his home.

Mr. Webb was a member of St. Mery's Catholic Church in Danbury where he was organist and choir director. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife; one son, John; three daughters, Joan, Ceila and Judy all at home; his stepmother, one brother and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
