9 February 1960Miss Agnes E. Lacey, 1915 Jones Street, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after an illness of five weeks.
Miss. Lacey was born Ida County, Ia., and attended St. Patrick's academy in Danbury, Ia., and Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls, la. She taught in Iowa public schools.
Miss Lacey worked for the Piersol Real Co., in Carroll Ia., then with the Cobb- Strecker Insurance agency in Minneapolis. She came to Sioux City in 1926.
Miss Lacey first was employed in Sioux City with the Continental Casualty Co., and since 1941 was with the insurance department of the Buckwalter Co.
Miss Lacey was a member of Cathedral of the Epiphany, the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament, the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, the Sioux City Woman's club and the Sioux City Insurance Women's association. She was a charter member of the Sioux City Insurance Women's association.
Survivors include one brother, W. J. Lacey of Danbury, four sisters, Miss Katherine Lacey of Sioux City, Mrs. 0. S. Skoda of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. W. M. Weinert of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. James E. McMurrer of Arlington, Va.
