17 December 1950William Frederick Kueny, 77, of Danbury, Iowa, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1970, at an Onawa, Iowa, hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. E. D. Hoffman officiating.
Mr. Kueny was born May 5, 1893, at Danbury. He was reared in the Danbury community, and moved to the Allen and Ponca area of Nebraska in 1933, to Hornick in 1945, and to the Mapleton and Oto area in 1950. He farmed all his life, retiring in 1965. He moved into Danbury last March. He married Anna Price March 29, 1921, at Danbury. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Mapleton Farmers Co-Op Association, and was a former member of the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include the widow; six sons, Roy of Montgomery City, Mo., Paul of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Leo of Orange, Calif., Richard of Fayetteville, N.C., Vincent and John, both of Storm Lake; seven daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Marian) Sand of Syracuse, Neb., Mrs. Edward (Marilyn) Jordan of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Galkowski of Newport, R.I., Mrs. Roland (Pauline) Wunderlich of Fort Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Donald (Charlotte) Heath of Grover City, Calif., Mrs. Gary (Betty) Lewis of Iowa City, and Mrs. Paul (Rita) Eisner of Ames, Iowa; a brother, Xavier of Redondo Beach, Calif.; 54 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
