6 March 1924Miss Ethel Lacey, a former Danbury girl, who served as a trained nurse in the vicinity of Carroll for several years, died at Carroll last Friday morning after a short illness. The body was brought to Danbury Saturday and taken to the home of her brother, Floyd, southeast of town.
Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Patrick's church and interment made in the cemetery on the north edge of town.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Eva Lacey, of Sioux City, six sisters, Kate, of Sioux City; Mrs. Mae Piersol and Agnes, of Minneapolis: Maude, of Billings, Mnot., (Mont.) Eva, of Washington, D. C, and Lucille, who is teaching in South Dakota; and four brothers, Tom, of Kansas City, and Will, Floyd and Leo, of this vicinity, all being present at the funeral.
