DANBURY, Iowa -- Thomas A. Karhoff, 79, of Danbury, died Saturday in a Storm Lake nursing home after a several-month illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury. The Rev. Robert Thiele and the Rev. Robert Schimmmer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery under direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Mapleton. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Mr. Karhoff was born March 10, 1902 in Danbury. He married Betty Fitzpatrick Aug. 17, 1933 in Danbury. He farmed his entire life in the Danbury community. He retired in 1969 and worked for Collins Feed Store for five years.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Burmeister of Storm Lake and Mrs. Verdette (Nadine) Plautz of Danbury; two sons, James of Anthon and Bill of Danbury; nine grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alice Clausen of Danbury.

Mr. Karhoff was born March 10, 1902 to Clement and Catherine (Hayes) in Danbury. He married Betty Fitzpatrick August 17, 1933 in Danbury. He farmed his entire life in the Danbury community. He retired in 1969 and worked for Collins Feed Store for five years.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and one daughter, Jean Marie.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Burmeister of Storm Lake and Mrs. Verdette (Nadine) Plautz of Danbury; two sons, James of Anthon and Bill of Danbury; nine grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Alice Clausen of Danbury.

Pallbearers were Jim Collins, Norman Clausen, Robert Karhoff, Ted Collins, Joe Kane and Charlie Schrunk.
