26 March 1982DANBURY, Iowa-- Mrs. Thomas Karhoff, 73, of Danbury, died Thursday in a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury. Con-celebrants will be the Revs. Robert Thiele and Robert Schimmer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. today by the Rosary Society and at 7:30 p.m. by the parish in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton.
Mrs. Karhoff, the former Betty A. Fitzpatrick, was born Feb. 21, 1909, at Danbury. She was a lifelong area resident.
She married Thomas Karhoff Aug. 16, 1933, at Danbury. They farmed in the Danbury community until, 1969 when they moved into town. He died Sept. 12, 1981.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Burmeister of Storm Lake and Mrs. Verdett (Nadine) Plautz of Danbury; two sons, James of Anthon and William of Danbury; four brothers, Tim of St. Louis, Mo., Lawrence of Las Vegas, Nev., Joe of Moline, Ill. and Donald of Danbury; three sisters, Mrs. Celestine Sexton of Danbury, Mrs. Wayne (Ferne) Albritton and Mrs. Rita Bell, both of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
