Wallace Ara Kennedy, 91, of Hinton, who had farmed near Danbury for many years, died in a hospital here Sunday night.

Mr. Kennedy was born February 24, 1859, at Cooks Settlement, Jackson County, Ia. He had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Nelle Krippin of Hinton since retiring eight years ago.

At the age of 21 Mr. Kennedy joined the army and served five years. He married Mary Christiansen May 10, 1887. She died in 1922. Two children, Beatrice and Edward also preceded him in death.

The body was taken to the Fitzpatrick funeral home in Danbury pending arrangements. Burial will be in Danbury.

Survivors besides the daughter include two sons, Harmon and George of Oto, three other daughters, Mrs. Alice Hossman of Sioux City, Mrs. May Tryon of Smithland and Miss Gladys Kennedy of Omaha; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
