Funeral services for Franklin W. Kemp, 88, of Danbury, who died Wednesday night at his home, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Danbury Methodist Church. The Rev. Earl Kurth and the Rev. Leonard W. Rowse will officiate.

Graveside rites will be performed by Due Guard Masonic Lodge 387 of Danbury and burial will be under the direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Mapleton.

Mr. Kemp was born Dec. 28, 1877, at Westside, Iowa. He married Ida M. Hall at Manning, Iowa, on June 10, 1903. He lived in Manning, Sioux City and Oto before moving to Danbury in 1930. He retired in 1958 (following) folowing 62 years in the banking business.

He was a member of the Due Guard Masonic Lodge of Danbury and received his 50- year pin in 1951. He was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, James F. of Danbury; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Schrank of Danbury; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
