Funeral Services Are Held Wednesday for Longtime
Resident of N.W. IowaFuneral services for Thomas Lee Kelsheimer, 77 years old, who passed away Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Glen Martin, near Mapleton, following a brief illness with bronchial pneumonia, were held Wednesday afternoon in the Byers Funeral home.
Rev. H. J. Bane, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Interment was in the Danbury cemetery.
Mrs. C. F. Griffin and Mrs. Paul A. Hollister sang "Face to Face" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Bane.
Mr. Kelsheimer was born in Edgar County, Ill., October 28, 1862. He grew to manhood in Edgar County, later going to Oklahoma where he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Ellen Walker in 1880. In 1888 they moved to Anthon, la., where he resided until about 5 years ago when he came to Mapleton to make his home with his daughter.
For several years Mr. Kelsheimer had been in poor health and he was taken suddenly ill Monday, passing away without regaining consciousness. He was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife and 5 children, Lee and Wallace of Anthon, Glen of Oto, William of Anthon and Mrs. Martin of Mapleton.
He also is survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 brother in Peabody, Kan.
