Funeral services for Oliver Martin Jerman, 80, of Anthon, who died Thursday at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness, were held Monday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. A. M. Conlon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jerman was born June 10, 1881, at Anthon, the son of Joseph and Mary Jerman. He married Helen Hawn January 11, 1910, at Oto. She died fifteen years ago. Mr. Jerman farmed for many years near Anthon before moving into the town of Anthon.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Raymond McDermott of Oto, and Mrs. Merle White of Anthon, three sons, Jake of Sioux City, Harold of Spokane, Washington, and Raymond of Indianapolis, Indiana, one brother, Walter of Denison, a sister, Mrs. Lucy Beebe of Kansas City, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his wife, parents, one son, three sisters and two grandchildren.
