James Simon Hawn, 37, 2224 W. Second street, died at a Sioux City hospital Thursday after a long illness.

Mr. Hawn was born March 2, 1900 at Oto, Ia. He had been a resident of Sioux City the last 10 years.

Surviving are three sisters. Mrs. Laura Swin of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Beatrice Beeson of Sioux City and Mrs. Monies Fusting of Indianapolis. Ind., and a brother, Robert F., of Eugene, Ore.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St Boniface Catholic church. Rev. Ralph Scheerer. O. F. M. will officiate and burial will be in St Joseph cemetery at Anthon.

The Manning O'Toole funeral home has charge of arrangements.
