3 October 1948John Hawn, 50, Dies Near Anthon; Funeral Tuesday
Anthon, la'. Special: John Hawn, 50, a lifelong resident of this community, died Saturday at his farm home west of Anthon after a six-week illness.
He was born May 14, 1898, at Oto, la.
Survivors are the widow Lucille: a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Forch of Anthon; two brothers, James of Cherokee and Roland of Eugene, Ore., and three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Beeson of Sioux City, Mrs. Laura Swim of Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Monica Fusting of Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic church. Rev. A Conlon will officiate. Burial will be in Mount St. Joseph cemetery.
The body will be taken Sunday afternoon from the Hudgel funeral home to the residence.
