Mrs. Bert Green Buried at Anthon.

After a sickness of a few days, on Holy Thursday she was taken to St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City. There, despite two blood transfusions, her condition became rapidly worse. On the morning of Tuesday, April 3, an apparent change for the better was seen. The coma disappeared and she recognized all who came to see her. However, about 1:30 her condition suddenly became more grave. Death came quietly Wednesday about 8 a.m.

Funeral services were conducted Friday from St. Mary's Church at Oto and interment was in Mt. St. Joseph's Cemetery at Anthon, where three of her children are buried. Hudgel's Funeral Service had charge of arrangements.

Mary Ann Hawn was born near Oto, October 8, 1893. She grew up as a happy member of the family of six girls and three boys, all of whom, with her mother, survive her. In January 1915, she was married to Bert Green of Oto, who, with a family of five boys and one girl are left to mourn her loss.
