Mrs. Barney Green, 47, a lifelong resident of near Oto, died Tuesday morning after a long illness.

She was born July 25, 1897, near Oto.

Surviving are the widower, three daughters, Mrs. Rosalie Blume of Charter Oak, Catherine and Dolores, both at home: seven sons, William of Climbing Hill, Marvin and Dale both of Anthon, Seaman Second Class Harold of the Navy at Norton Heights, Connecticut, and Melvin, Glenn and Guiles, all of the home, a sister, Mrs. Hazel Miller of Oto, four brothers, Edward and Jesse Benton both of Oto, Marion Benton of Sioux City, and Sgt. Paul Benton with the army in South America, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oto with Rev. A. Conlon officiating. Burial will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Anthon under direction of Hudgel Funeral Home.
