Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Anthon for Barney Green, 65, a longtime Anthon farmer who died Tuesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Mr. Green was born March 16, 1895, at Alcester, South Dakota. As a child he moved to a farm near Oto and had resided in the Oto-Anthon community since. He married Ethel Benton September 4, 1915. She died 16 years ago.

Survivors include seven sons, William of Bronson, Marvin of Anthon, Dale of Correctionville, Harold of Chicago, Melvin of Rodney, Glen and Guiles of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Chedester of Sioux City, Mrs. Rosalie Blume of Schleswig and Mrs. Dolores Heath of Anthon; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Oregon and Mrs. Irene Livermore, both of Oto, 32 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Walter Funeral Home at Anthon.
