John Foley, Former Resident, Dies At Anthon

John Foley of Anthon, a former resident of this place and for many years section boss on the I. C. Ry. at Anthon, died at his home in Anthon at
1:15 Tuesday morning. Last Thursday a week ago He was thrown in front of the gas section car as it got under way. Three ribs were broken, and internal injuries sustained that finally resulted in his death.

He had, however, gotten up a day or two and expected to report in Cherokee the morning before he died. Waking a little before one in the morning, he asked for a drink, and in a few moments was gone.
