Daniel J. Fitzpatrick, 61, died Wednesday, August 30, 1978, at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

He was the assistant manager of Sunshine Food Market No 7, 2414 Gordon Drive.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was born March 2, 1917, in Anthon, Iowa, and attended the Anthon Public High School. He married Vertress A. White on January 31, 1938, at Anthon. He worked on the Alcan Highway during 1942-43 and operated his own restaurant and grocery store at Anthon before moving to Sioux City in 1951. He had been with Sunshine for twenty-five years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widow; son Daniel F., daughters Patricia (Mrs. Edward) Dondelinger of Adelanto, California; Geraldine Beck and Kathleen Tott, both of Sioux City, brothers Wayne T. of Westminster, California; and James E. of Orange, California; sisters, Helen (Mrs. William) Scholz of San Diego, California; Marguerite Flynn of Madrid, Iowa; Frances (Mrs. Sam) Wildblood of Stockton, California; and Lucille (Mrs. Verle) Wetmore of Westminster; and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald F. Zensen officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Anthon, Iowa.
