Following a week's illness of bronchial pneumonia, Gerald Francis Fitzpatrick, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Fitzpatrick of Los Angeles, California, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 27, 1941, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, where the child had been taken two days before.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick's daughter Patricia and the three and one-half months old baby were visiting in the home of Mrs. Fitzpatrick's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Webb White and with other relatives in the Anthon community when the infant became ill.

Gerald Francis was born August 11, 1941, in Los Angeles and is survived by his grief-stricken parents, sister Patricia, both his paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzpatrick of Los Angeles and Mr. and Mrs. Webb White of Anthon, and numerous other relatives.

When informed that the child was seriously ill in the hospital, the father, Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzpatrick, and Mrs. Lucy Wetmore, all of Los Angeles, started for Anthon by automobile. They did not know that the infant had died until they stopped at the hospital in Sioux City early Saturday evening.

Funeral services were conducted in the Edwin Flynn home here at 2:30 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. A. Conlon, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial was in Mount St. Joseph cemetery under the direction of Hudgel's Funeral Service.

A large number of relatives and friends attended the rites.

Pallbearers were Wayne and Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Marvin Umbach and Louis Murrell. Sympathy is extended to the survivors in their bereavement.
