Edward John Dixon, 73, of Anthon died Tuesday, January 22, 1980, at the home of his brother, Francis, near Anthon.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Josephs Catholic Church at Anthon with Rev. J.C. Skahill officiating. Burial was in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon.

Mr. Dixon was born December 27, 1906, to John James and Verna Emma (Clark) Dixon at Neola. In 1919 he moved with his parents to the Anthon community where he farmed.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include four brothers, Francis of Anthon, Leo of Salix, Paul of Sterling, Colorado, and James of Moville, four sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Emma) Coyne of Manson, Mrs. Paul (Bernice) O'Connell of Oto, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Lacey of Norcross, Georgia, and Mrs. Mary Weber of Anthon.

He was preceded by his parents and two brothers.
