Funeral services for Mrs. Francis (Edna) Dixon, 54, who passed away at her home near Anthon on Thursday, August 8, 1974, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Anthon under direction of Walter Funeral Home.

Edna Marie Dixon, daughter of Nick and Katharina Soellner Koehler, was born in Grant Township, near Anthon, Iowa, on June 1, 1920. She was a lifelong resident of the Anthon community and was in the graduating class of the Correctionville High School in 1937. Edna and Francis Dixon were married May 11, 1938, at Anthon.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Anthon.

Survivors include her husband Francis of Anthon, six daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Helen) Sapp of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Samuel (Joan) Walsh and Mrs. Steven (Patricia) Moseman, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Fred (Alice) Straub of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Steven (Mary) Diamond and Debra Ann, both of Anthon; six sons, Robert of Detroit, Michigan; Ralph of Omaha, Nebraska; Nickolas of Wichita, Kansas; Donald of Correctionville, John of Oto and Michael of Anthon; twenty-five grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Katharina Koehler of Anthon; three brothers, Erwin of Anthon; Orman of Moville and Elmer of Alta; and one sister, Mrs. Joe (Almeda) Cross of Sioux City.

She was preceded by her father.
