Bonita "Bonnie" was born Feb. 21, 1930, to Raymond and Catherine Brown. She graduated from East High School and began working at Iowa Public Service Company. On Sept. 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Floyd "Bud" Bohlke at St. Joseph Church in Sioux City. In their early years of marriage, Thursday night was always "date night," because that was the night the Shriners Oriental band practiced across the street. Bud and Bonnie would go on a "date" while the Shrine Band practiced.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Sioux City for over 70 years.

She was a loving mom and nana to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, knitting, and gardening. She returned to work when her children were older, working as a bookkeeper at Metz Baking, Johnson Hardware and Sears. After retiring she and Bud enjoyed traveling, taking bus tours throughout the US.

She is survived by her son Mike of Sioux City; daughters Linda (Dick) Stauble of Burnsville, Minn., and Susan (Doug) Wurster of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren John (Jeanne) Stauble and their children Luke, Elanor, and Joseph, Kathy (Michael) Janicki, Andrew (Stacey) Stauble and their children Isaiah, Elijah, and Sophia Rose, Elizabeth (Justin) McGowan, Harrison (Rose) Wurster, Brian Wurster, and Aaron (Hannah) Wurster; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers Arvid and infant Conrad Brown.

Memorials may be directed to Immaculate Conception Church in Mater Dei Parish.
