William A. 'Will' Monroe

Wallace, Idaho, formerly Sioux City

William A. "Will" Monroe passed away peacefully at age 67 on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022.

There will be a military service with honors at 1 p.m. on Thursday. Services will be held at Washington State Veterans Cemetery at 21702 W. Espanola Rd. Medical Lake, Wash.. Later in the spring of 2023, his family will be hosting a memorial at the Elks Lodge in Wallace ID. The date is to be announced later, but open for anyone to attend as he was loved by so many.

Will was born on May 11, 1955, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Stephen and Lola Monroe but grew up in Sioux City.

Will served six years in the US Navy but continued working on Naval ships for many years, having a very successful career doing what he loved. His passion for motorcycles extended his entire life; anybody that knew him, understood his love for Harley-Davidson's and exploring the open road. Will was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Will loved exploring on his bike, which is how he discovered the town of Wallace, where he eventually retired and bought his last home.
