Earl Eugene Cole 1888 - 1965

Earl E. Cole, 77, 315 Fifth St., former longtime Anthon area resident died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon. Rev. A. M. Conlon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 o'clock tonight at the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Cole was born in September 1887 at Eugene, Ore. As a small boy he went with his parents to the Anthon area. He farmed and lived in the Anthon community until moving to Sioux City about 22 years ago.

Survivors include a brother, George of Tulsa, Okla.

Mr. Cole was born in September 1887 at Eugene, Oregon, the son of James and Rose (Callaghan) Cole. As a small boy he went with his parents to the Anthon area. He farmed and lived near Anthon until moving to Sioux City about 22 years ago.

Survivors include a brother, George of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was preceded by his parents and three brothers.
