"Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. this morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon for Mrs. Annie Cole, 79. Mrs. Cole died Sunday evening at the home of her son Bernard in Kingsley. She had just come home from St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City where she had been a patient.

Father A. Conlon conducted the service this morning and burial was in Mt. St. Joseph's Cemetery under direction of Hudgel Funeral Home of Anthon. Pallbearers were Dan Curtin, Neil Coyne, Raephel Curtin, Tom Coyne, Hugh Coyne and Ray Williams, all nephews of Mrs. Cole.

Mrs. Cole was born November 1, 1875, at Crysler, Ontario, Canada, and came to the United States and Iowa with her parents in 1883. She was married to J.A. Cole February 12, 1901, in Anthon and resided in this vicinity until Mr. Cole's death in 1937.

She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and St. Michael's Missionary Society at Kingsley.

Surviving are four sons, Bernard and John of Kingsley, Leo of Anthon and Raphael of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and twelve grandchildren.

Last Rites For Mrs. Cole Held At Anthon

Native Of Ontario: Pioneer Of Anthon Vicinity

Mrs. Anna Cole, 79, former resident of the Anthon community, but who has made her home here for some time with Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Cole, died at the Cole home Sunday evening after an extended illness.

Mrs. Cole was born November 1st, 1875 at Chrysler, Ontario. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1883. She was married to J. A. Cole February 12, 1901, at Anthon and resided in that vicinity until Mr. Cole's death in 1937.

Mrs. Cole was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St Michael's Missionary society in Kingsley.

Survivors include four sons, Bernard and John of Kingsley; Leo, of Anthon; and Raphael of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic church in Anthon, and burial was under direction of the Hudgel funeral home.

The body was taken Tuesday from the Dickison funeral home, to Anthon funeral home where the rosary was said Tuesday evening.
