Mrs. John Benner, 79, 512 13th St., died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

The former Marie Sobieski, Mrs. Benner was born Nov. 16, 1892, at Anthon. She was married July 3, 1919, in Seattle, Wash. She had been a resident of Sioux City since 1945.

Survivors include a brother, John, and a sister, Miss Martha Sobieski, both of Sioux City.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Cathedral of Epiphany. The Rev. James Tigges will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Anthon.

The Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock tonight at the Larkin Funeral Home.
