Richard Beeson, 70, 2224 W. Second St. was dead on arrival Saturday night at a hospital. Cause of death was not determined.

Mr. Beeson was born Feb. 5, 1894 at Danbury. He married Beatrice Hawn on Aug. 15, 1915 at Oto. They farmed near Anthon before moving to Sioux City 20 years ago. Mrs. Beeson died in 1960.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Epiphany.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Watkins of Sioux City; two sons, Wilber of Sioux City and Norman of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Paul of Washta; Iowa, and eight grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Manning-O'Toole Funeral Home.
