FORMER CITY TEACHER DIES

Edna Thompson, Retired Central Instructor, Succumbs

Miss Edna B. Thompson, former longtime Central high school instructor, died at her home in Iowa City after a long illness.

Miss Thompson came to Sioux City in 1918 as mathematics teacher at Central and retired in June 1943. Since that time she had made her home at Iowa City. Her death occurred Saturday night.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at Iowa City. Burial will be at Clinton.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Minnie Scott of Iowa City and brother, Frank Thompson of Clinton.
