Funeral services for Mrs. Goldia Jackson Sundstrom, 49, 917 Eighth street, former longtime cook and dietitian at the Mary Elizabeth day nursery, who died Monday in a hospital after an illness of several months, will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Anderson chapel. Rev. Robert Ziemer of the Sioux City Gospel tabernacle will Officiate.
Mrs. Sundstrom worked at the nursery from the time of her graduation from Morningside college in 1917 until her marriage, May 30, 1942, to John Sundstrom of Concord, Neb. After Mr. Sundstrom's death in August 1944, she returned to Sioux City.
Born November 7, 1896, at Kingsley, la., Mrs. Sundstrom was graduated from, high school there. At Morningside she was one of three honor students in her class.
She was a worker in Sunday school, Bible study classes and child evangelism activities, and organized the Pocket Testament league here. For many years she was in charge of the Christian book shop of the Sioux City Gospel tabernacle.
Surviving are a sister. Mrs. Hilda Hash of San Pablo, Cal.; an uncle, Carl Peterson of Bertrand, Neb.; two aunts, both living in Chicago, and a nephew. Damon Hash, now serving in the army in England.
