Fred Hermanson, 63, of Lemar's, a former resident here, died Monday in an Iowa City hospital following an illness of six months.

He was born in Norway and came to America and direct to Sioux City with his parents at the age of 3.

For some time, he was employed here by Armour & Co. About 15 years ago, he moved to Lemar's. He was a member here of St. John's Lutheran church.

Surviving are two brothers, Edwin H., of Sioux City and Elroy M., of Maywood, Cal, and four sisters, Mrs. Gus Holt of Bell, Cal., Mrs. C. W, Swanson of Huntington Park, Cal., Mrs. C. M. Florance of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Edward Jansen of Williams, Ore.

The body will he brought here to the Nelson-Berger funeral home.
