Martin J. Rustwick, 88, 502 1/2 Court Street, who helped erect St. John's Lutheran church, of which he was a member, died in a hospital Tuesday night. He had resided in Sioux City about 55 years. He was a carpenter.

He was born in Norway February 7, 1855.

Surviving are a son, Jens of Sioux City, and a daughter, Mrs. Ann Boudinot of Omaha, and three grandsons. He was a member of carpenters' union 948.

The Anderson funeral home has charge of arrangements.
