Mrs. Sarah K. Thompson, 93, of Sioux City, died February 14, 1961, at her home after a long illness.

She was born September 8, 1867, in Illinois, the daughter of George M. "Dallas" Whisman and Mahala Beaver. She went to Washta, Iowa, with her family at the age of five. She was married to Arthur C. Thompson in 1986, and the family moved to Sioux City in 1910. Mr. Thompson died in 1926 in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd and Ray, both of Sioux City, a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Girton of Harlingen, Texas, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery under direction of W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, Sioux City.
