Funeral services for Earl H. Seehusen, 74, of Schleswig were held Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig. He died July 21, 1993, at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove.

The Rev. James Schatz officiated with burial in the Good Hope Cemetery in Correctionville. The Walter A. Huebner and Sons' Funeral Home of Schleswig was in charge of arrangements.

Earl H. Seehusen was born August 6, 1918, the son of Harry and Frieda Ramm Seehusen, on a farm west of Schleswig.

After receiving his education in rural schools in the area he began farming.

He married Rachel Pelton in Sioux City July 26, 1939. In 1942 they moved to Seattle where they lived for nine years. They returned to Iowa and farmed south of Battle Creek in Crawford County until retiring in Schleswig in 1980.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ.

Mr. Seehusen died July 21, 1993, in Ida Grove with Rev. James Schatz officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Correctionville under direction of Walter A. Huebner & Son Funeral Home of Schleswig.

Survivors include a daughter, Harriet Marleen Seehusen of Des Moines, a son Roger of Fountain Valley, California, two sisters, Mrs. Holger (Ruby) Anderson and Betty Vaughn, both of Correctionville, and a brother Bill Seehusen of Pierson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rachel in June 1992 and a brother Charles.
