Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Scott who passed away last Thursday, January 3, 1952, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City were held in the Wilson-Hull Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. E.J. Berreth, pastor of the Evangelical U.B. Church, officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mamie Agnes Scott was born at Beaman, Iowa, August 29, 1883, the daughter of Ira and Agnes Wells.

Mrs. Scott came to Pierson in 1903 where she married Charles Scott on December 18, 1907. To this union were born eight children, of whom seven survive. The Scott family moved to Correctionville April 20, 1916.

She was a member of the Methodist Church at Pierson and later joined the Evangelical U.B. Church at Correctionville.

She leaves to mourn her death three sons, Clifford of Washington, DC, Clarence of Anoka, Minnesota, and Hubert of Glendale, California, four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Babbitt of Ainsworth, Nebraska, Mrs. Opal Siefke of Sioux City, Mrs. Gertrude Egley of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Mrs. Maye Small of Washta, two sisters, Mrs. Thorval Thompson of LeGrand, Iowa, and Mrs. Harry Moore of Cisco, Texas, and thirteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
