MRS. LAURA COON DIES IN CALIFORNIA NOV. 22

Mrs. Laura Amelia North Coon, 79 years of age, a former Correctionville resident and widow of Isaac Coon, died at the home of a daughter at Vista, Calif., Nov 22. She was the sister of Mrs. Cara North Walker of this place.

Mrs. Coon was born near Boone, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary North. As a child she lived with her parents on farms near Early and Odebolt and at the age of 18 moved with them to a farm near Correctionville.

She was married here and moved to California thirty years ago.

She leaves three children, Mrs. George S. Nahas of Vista, Calif., Frank and Russell Coon, of Los Angeles. In March of this year her son, John N. Coon, 44, passed away in Los Angeles. He was an executive with the R.K.O. Studios heading their transportation department many years.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Coon took place Wednesday Nov. 24. in Los Angeles at the Edwards Bros Colonial Mortuary with interment in the nearby Inglewood Park Cemetery.
